Breed guide imagery is illustrative; ask for photos of a specific puppy.
Considering a Shih Tzu? Begin with a realistic picture of daily life together. Small companion with a long flowing coat and a short muzzle. Companion-oriented; daily routine and gentle handling matter. This profile is a starting point for questions, not a promise that every dog behaves in the same way.
Build a routine before you choose
Short regular outings and play; ask about individual exercise tolerance. Long coats require frequent brushing or a manageable professional trim. Think about how these commitments fit your work schedule, travel, household and available space. Ask who will handle walks, feeding, training and veterinary visits.
Questions for your enquiry
When discussing a Shih Tzu puppy, ask about age, current routine, observed temperament, relevant documentation and the information available about its parents. Request current photos of the specific puppy, a written quote and the terms that apply. Do not assume pedigree, registration or health status from a breed name or illustration.
